A virtual assistant or VA provides a wide range of services for both businesses and consumers. Since you are going to work from home, being a virtual assistant will be defined by the skill set that the virtual assistant can offer. Location is not a problem
Being able to work home-based will take out the stress of commuting on a day to day basis. Being able to work at home also means you don’t need to wear office attire. You can basically wear whatever it is that you want. You are not restricted to just working from home. You can also work elsewhere as long as there is an internet connection and you have your laptop with you.
Your time management skills will be put to test
At least four hours a day as part-time is what you’re going to need at a minimum so be sure that time is well-spent. Avoiding distractions is the key for this to happen. Learn to prioritize what needs to be done so that work will not pile up before you know it.
Working from home can be distracting
Members of the family should be aware that you are still working and they should always keep the noise down for you to be able to focus on what you need to work on. Learn to say no when they want you to do errands for them.
Being a virtual assistant is not an easy job. It requires you to focus on work in a different environment. This job is not for someone who cannot focus in a different work environment other than the office type. Consider this job as a freedom to be working at the comfort of your own home without the stress of commuting. Full-time moms are the ones who benefit the most in this kind of set up in a sense that they will be able to raise their kids and earn money at the same time.
